Puppy Training
It can be easy to forget just how much hard work a puppy can be and how sharp their teeth are!
Puppy training can be the most valuable time an owner invests in their dog’s future and it is rare that a puppy who has been provided with the necessary training and experiences from a young age will require behavioural support later on in life.
Putting in the work when your dog is young, will reap rewards for the rest of their life.
The puppy training package is 3 sessions of bespoke 1 to 1 training. The training programme isn't fixed so we can focus on the specific needs of your puppy at that time.
There is no set timescale for the 3 sessions so that you have time inbetween them to work on the training. You will also receive support by phone/email for 4 months after your 3rd session.
Puppy Training Package Fee £80
Any applicable travel costs will be as per T&Cs
The puppy training package includes:
- Three sessions of face to face bespoke training and advice tailored to you and your puppy’s specific needs.
- Sessions can be spread over a few months to allow you to work on the training inbetween.
- A report summarising the recommended training after the first session.
- Ongoing email/phone support for 4 months (from the date of the last face to face appointment).
Common items covered are:
- Car travel
- Settling your puppy into their new home
- Toilet Training
- Eating and Sleeping arrangements
- Mouthing/nipping
- Jumping Up
- Crate training
- Basic obedience commands and how dogs learn
- Introduction to collar, harness and lead
- Lead walking and introduction of recall
- Socialising your puppy with other dogs and people
- Children and dogs
- Dealing with boisterous behaviour
- Continuity advice and what to expect in adolescence
There is no doubt that if you start training and providing rules and boundaries for your new puppy from the moment they enter your home, you will significantly reduce the chances of your new furry friend developing those little behaviour quirks that
can sometimes develop into unwanted behavioural problems.
