Puppy Training
Puppy training can be the most valuable time an owner invests in their dog’s future.
It is extremely rare that a puppy who has been provided with the necessary training and experiences from a young age will require a behavioural consultation later on in life.
Putting in the work when your dog is young will reap rewards for the rest of their life
The puppy training package can be provided either as three x one hour sessions spread over a few weeks, or as a one-off session lasting three hours. Prior to the consultation I will email you a questionnaire to obtain the necessary information for me to tailor the training to the specific needs of you and your puppy.
Puppy Training Package Fee £75 Any applicable travel costs will be as per T&Cs
The puppy package includes:
- Three hours of face to face bespoke training and advice tailored to you and your puppy’s specific needs.
- Ongoing email/phone support for 4 months (from the date of the last face to face appointment).
- A report summarising the recommended training will follow by email within 48 hours.
Common items covered are:
- Car travel
- Settling your puppy into their new home
- Toilet Training
- Eating and Sleeping arrangements
- Crate training
- Nutrition
- Introduction to collar/harness and lead
- Socialising your puppy with other dogs and people
- Jumping Up
- Children and dogs
- How dogs learn
- Basic obedience commands
- Beginning lead walking and introduction of recall
- Dealing with boisterous/overzealous behaviour
- Mouthing/nipping
- Continuity advice and what to expect in adolescence
There is no doubt that if you start training and providing rules and boundaries for your new puppy from the moment they enter your home, you will significantly reduce the chances of your new canine companion developing those little behaviour quirks that
can sometimes develop into unwanted behavioural problems.
Please note that it is not possible to work with young puppies for lengthy periods of time, so these sessions will focus on training you to train your puppy.
