About Me

I love dogs - large dogs, small dogs, young dogs, old dogs – they are all special and unique and deserve to be loved and cherished.

I gained a Level 6 (degree equivalent) qualification following 18 months of study and residential training with the Cambridge Institute of Dog Behaviour and Training.
I am also an External Quality Assurer for the Open College Network London,
undertaking Quality Assurance of
Canine Training and Behaviour courses.

I also have a Level 3 Canine First Aid qualification and completed a four day Dog Aggression workshop in October 2024.

I will be attending a Bitework for Behaviourists course in Autumn 2025

I am a volunteer behaviourist for Spaniel Aid UK and I have been a volunteer home checker for dog rescues for over 20 years.

I donate handmade jewellery to dog rescues to help with fundraising.

Our dogs have been a mixture of rescues and puppies and they have all taught me something.
Most of all, I have learned that dogs are all individuals.

We currently have ten dogs, a mixture of spaniels, retrievers and crossbreeds. Three males and seven females who range in age from three months to thirteen years old. Our dogs live indoors as part of our family. They come on holiday with us, staying in hotels and holiday cottages and visiting cafes and pubs.

We also have a cat who is small but mighty & can often be found in pole position in front of the log burner on winter evenings.

Managing the requirements of a multi dog household, including

introducing new dogs and dealing with the behavioural issues of
rescue dogs, has brought many challenges and provided me with an

abundance of valuable learning and experience.

We have also raised puppies and understand how important early experiences are and how they can impact the rest of a dog’s life.
